By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the site. We may change them, and the date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed.

It is a catalogue of the materials Umka Mining Services works: tourmaline from Oyo State, other gemstones, and industrial minerals. It is published for information, and as an invitation to open a conversation about partnership.

Nothing here is an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation in respect of any mineral, parcel, security or investment. Nothing here is investment, financial, legal or technical advice. Any actual supply is governed by a separate written contract, and only that contract binds either of us.

The photographs on this site are openly licensed library images. They are not photographs of Umka's sites, equipment, staff or stock.

The specimens shown are museum and collection pieces photographed elsewhere in the world. They illustrate what a mineral species looks like. They are not photographs of material we hold, and no parcel is offered by reference to them. Photographer and licence for every image are listed in the colophon at the foot of the main page.

The chemical formula, crystal system, Mohs hardness and specific gravity given for each material are published mineralogical constants for that species. They describe the mineral in general.

They are not, and must not be read as:

• an assay, a certificate of analysis, or a statement of grade;
• a representation about the quality, purity or composition of any parcel we might supply;
• a mineral resource or mineral reserve statement under the JORC Code, NI 43-101, SAMREC or any other reporting code;
• a statement that Umka currently holds, produces or has title to any particular deposit.

Statements about where a mineral occurs in Nigeria describe the published geology of the country. They are not claims about our licences or our operations.

No parcel should ever be bought on the strength of this website. Material is assayed by an independent laboratory before anyone commits to anything. That is the normal order of events.

Anything on this site about intentions, plans or expectations is forward-looking. Mining is subject to geological, permitting, price, currency, weather, security and counterparty risks. Actual outcomes differ from expectations, and we do not undertake to update forward-looking statements as circumstances change.

The text, design, layout and the Umka mark belong to Umka Mining Services. The photographs do not: they are used under Creative Commons licences, are credited in the colophon, and remain the property of their photographers. If you reuse one of them you take it from its original source under its own licence, and several are share-alike, which imposes obligations on you and not on us.

The site is provided as it is. We have taken care with the mineral data and the licence records, but we do not warrant that the site is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of error, and we do not warrant that it is fit for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent Nigerian law allows, Umka Mining Services is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of data arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where we link to another site, such as the source page for a photograph, we do not control it and are not responsible for it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
